Perhaps the biggest change is the premium colors as you now have the choice between either Redline Red or Atlas Silver Metallic. There are also a variety of new designs available across the premium models, which include the Special, Limited and ST. We also know that CVO models, including an anniversary variant, are coming, but those details had not yet been made official at the time we wrote this model update.
Performance & Ride Characteristics
The Road Glide® is built on the Grand American Touring platform, which Harley-Davidson® uses for all of its touring motorcycles. This model is notable on a number of fronts. It strikes a balance between stripped down and full dressed, which is a big part of why it is so versatile. It also has the sharknose fairing, which is a frame-mounted fairing, and that distinguishes it from touring motorcycle without a fairing or those that have the batwing fairing, which is fork mounted.
