Pig Trail Harley-Davidson is seeking hospitality heroes to join our food & beverage team.  

Our event venue is open seasonally hosting some of the best events in the Northwest Arkansas area.  Join us for bike nights, poker runs, charity events and the annual Bikes, Blues and BBQ motorcycle rally to name a few.  We operate our food truck serving riders and locals the best burgers and bbq creations imaginable Monday through Saturday.

Aids all employees of the Service Department as needed.

Key Results Areas:

  • Assist Service Department employees to run an efficient and customer-oriented department.
  • Ability to accept and follow directions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Service Department Operations

  • Helping Service Personnel
  • Removal of trash, cardboard, wood, etc. from dealership.
  • Wash Motorcycles as necessary. Ensure they are cleaner than when the customer dropped them off.
  • Assist Technicians with keeping the Service Department clean and organized.
  • Assist with new motorcycle un-crating.
  • Maintain and periodically check inventory of charged motorcycle batteries.
  • Re-fill stock of oil, electrolyte material, or other supplies, as needed.
  • Clean and maintain appearance of general facilities.
  • Ensure proper storing of crating materials.
  • Assist Technicians or other dealership personnel, when asked.
  • Read, understand, and follow all safety requirements when using tools and chemicals and performing work in the shop.
  • Other Duties - As assigned.

Customer Service
Greet external customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.

  • Handle requests quickly, and courteously.
  • Other Duties - As assigned.

Follow directions and demonstrate a good work ethic.

  • Ask questions when in doubt.
  • Complete all training programs and their related tests by required deadlines. The Service Manager assigns all required training.
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude.
  • Wear an appropriate shop uniform each day.

Qualifications & Job Requirements
Ability to accept and follow directions.

  • Demonstrated willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Valid Motorcycle endorsement.

Physical Demands
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Requires the use of both hands.
  • Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift 40 lb. of material.
  • Occasionally requires the ability to balance and push an 800+ lb. motorcycle.

Working Conditions
Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.

  • Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motorcycle Service Department.
  • Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and repairing Harley- Davidson motorcycles
  • Ability to properly diagnose malfunctions
  • Installing parts & accessories as requested by customers

Customer Satisfaction & Quality Efficiency

  • Provide prompt, dependable, high-quality, vehicle service to (internal & external) customers
  • Complete repair work within the scheduled or allotted time period whenever possible. Continually improve this efficiency skill.
  • Maintain productivity (time spent working on billable jobs) as close to 100% as possible.
  • Accept work assignments from Service Writer / Manager.
  • Keep work area as clean as possible and assist others with maintaining shop cleanliness.
  • Maintain technical (PHD and other) qualifications by completing any necessary training programs assigned to you by the Service Manager.
  • Determine/Verify items needed and correct part numbers. Customer Satisfaction
  • Request parts for the job as early as possible when needs become known.
  • Perform service, repair, and customization work in accordance to factory specifications.
  • Assist Service Writer/Dispatcher, when requested with communication with customers, test riding, or any other issue which will help ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Notify the Service Writer/Dispatcher of additional work needed or any delay in expected completion as soon as they become known so that the customer may be contacted and notified of the delay.
  • After the job is finished ensure proper completion of paperwork (i.e. tech notes on RO).
  • Minimize comebacks and deal with them promptly and satisfactorily when they do occur.
  • Take all necessary precautions to ensure that all vehicles on the premise are secure and safe from damage and that all potential issues or hazards are brought to the immediate attention of the Service Management.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • MMI Certificate
  • Dyno Tuning experience
  • Motorcycle endorsement required
  • 2 years of dealership experience repairing Harley-Davidson motorcycles preferred
  • Great work ethic
