The 2020 Softail Slim brings a sinister, military-inspired bobber attitude to the road, looking exceptionally raw in its factory Black Denim finish. This flat, matte-black paint wraps the chopped front and rear fenders and the classic 5-gallon Fat Bob fuel tank, emphasizing the bike's minimalist, stripped-down design. Staying true to post-WWII garage-built styles, the Slim features internally wired "Hollywood" handlebars with a cross-brace, a low-slung tuck-and-roll solo seat dropping down to just 25.5 inches, vintage half-moon footboards, and classic black laced steel wheels wrapped in fat rubber.
Powering the bobber is the smooth and muscular Milwaukee-Eight® 107 V-Twin engine. Rigid-mounted inside the hidden-shock Softail frame, this 1746cc dual-counterbalanced powerplant belts out 110 ft-lbs of immediate low-end torque through a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission. The dark sheet metal is balanced by a mix of gloss black and polished engine finishes, a retro round air cleaner, and a clean black tank console. Despite its vintage aesthetic, the 2020 model stays modern under the surface with high-performance dual-bending valve front suspension, an easily adjustable rear mono-shock, an LED signature headlight, and standard keyless security.
